Community Guidelines

1. Our Community

Rumors is built for respectful, consensual connections between adults. Everyone using the Service is expected to follow these Community Guidelines, which work alongside our Terms of Service. See our Child Safety Policy for our standards on protecting minors.

2. Adults Only

Rumors is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. People under 18 may not use the Service. Do not create an account for, or on behalf of, a minor, and do not misrepresent your age. Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to, or being used by, someone under 18 may be restricted, suspended or terminated. See our Child Safety Policy for more information.

3. Respect and Safety

Treat other users with respect. Rumors does not tolerate behavior that endangers, coerces or exploits another person.

4. Harassment, Threats and Stalking

Do not:

• harass, bully, threaten or intimidate another user;
• stalk another user or monitor them without their consent;
• engage in repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop;
• encourage others to harass or target a user.

Respectful disagreement or a polite decline of interest is not harassment.

5. Hate and Discrimination

Do not post or send content that promotes hatred, violence or dehumanization of individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or another characteristic protected by applicable law.

6. Sexual Exploitation and Commercial Sexual Services

Rumors is an adult dating app, not a marketplace for commercial sexual services or compensated dating. Do not:

• solicit or offer commercial sexual services;
• engage in coercive or non-consensual sexual conduct;
• share non-consensual intimate content;
• post or send pornographic or sexually explicit content whose primary purpose is sexual gratification;
• sexually exploit another person;
• post or send sexual content involving a minor.

Consensual adult dating and flirting between users is expected and permitted.

7. Child Safety

Rumors has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Do not engage in, solicit or facilitate child sexual abuse material, grooming, sextortion involving a minor, or the exploitation or trafficking of a minor. 8. Consent, Privacy and Private Content

Do not:

• share another person’s private or intimate content without their authorization;
• record, capture, publish or distribute another user’s private communications or personal content without authorization where doing so would violate privacy, law or these Guidelines;
• expose another person’s sensitive personal information;
• misuse another user’s photos or profile content.

9. Authenticity and Impersonation

Do not:

• impersonate another person;
• use deliberately deceptive photos or profile information to misrepresent who you are;
• pretend to represent Rumors;
• use a fraudulent identity or account;
• sell, transfer or share access to your account, or use another person’s account.

Users generally may maintain only one personal Rumors account unless Rumors expressly permits otherwise.

Any optional verification feature is intended as a safety and authenticity aid; it does not guarantee that every user’s identity has been verified.

10. Scams, Fraud and Financial Exploitation

Do not:

• run scams, phishing schemes or other fraudulent schemes;
• ask another user for their password or a security code;
• deceptively request money, loans or financial information from another user;
• solicit participation in a fraudulent investment or other deceptive financial scheme, or a pyramid or referral-payment scheme;
• otherwise attempt to financially exploit another user.

11. Spam and Unauthorized Commercial Use

Do not send spam or mass unsolicited messages; post unauthorized advertising; use the Service for lead generation or commercial solicitation unrelated to genuine dating or social discovery; or use bots or automated accounts to do any of the above.

12. Bots, Scraping and Platform Abuse

Do not use unauthorized bots, scripts or automated tools; scrape or extract data from the Service; reverse engineer the Service where restricting this is legally permitted; interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service; or attempt to bypass safety controls.

13. Illegal and Dangerous Conduct

Do not use Rumors to plan or facilitate illegal activity, threaten violence, or otherwise exploit or endanger another person.

14. Profile and Content Standards

Your profile content should be authentic, relevant to you, and not deliberately deceptive, infringing, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited by these Guidelines.

15. Messaging

Messages you send through Rumors are intended for the recipient you choose. In the normal course of operating the Service, Rumors does not routinely review the content of private messages. If a message or conversation is reported, the relevant content may be reviewed by automated moderation systems or by authorized Rumors personnel to investigate the report.

Use the block and report tools if another user makes you uncomfortable, and stop contacting someone who asks you to stop. Do not send abusive, threatening, fraudulent or otherwise prohibited content. You remain responsible for the messages and other content you choose to send, including content prepared with the help of an AI-assisted feature.

16. Reporting and Blocking

You can report an account, message or other content, and block another user, at any time using the in-app tools. You can also contact [email protected]. Reports may be reviewed to help us investigate potential violations and keep the community safe. A report does not necessarily result in content removal, suspension or account termination.

17. Enforcement

Violations of these Guidelines or our Terms of Service may result in a warning, content restriction or removal where applicable, feature restriction, suspension, or termination, depending on factors such as the severity of the conduct, its context, whether it is repeated, the safety risk involved, and applicable law. Serious safety violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without a prior warning.
