Child Safety

1. Adults Only

Rumors is for adults aged 18 and older. No one under 18 may create or use a Rumors account. When you register, you must give your date of birth. A technical check built into registration is designed to stop anyone whose stated date of birth shows they are under 18 from completing registration or reaching dating functionality. You may not create an account on behalf of a minor, and you may not pose as one.

2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

Rumors has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That applies to every form of it, and to all content, communication and conduct on the Service.

3. Prohibited Child-Safety Conduct

The following conduct is prohibited on Rumors, with no exceptions:

• child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• grooming a minor
• sextortion of a minor
• trafficking a minor for sexual exploitation
• commercial sexual exploitation of a minor
• soliciting or sexualizing a minor
• attempting to obtain, distribute or otherwise facilitate any of the above.

4. Reporting a Child-Safety Concern

If you come across an account you suspect belongs to someone under 18, or you see CSAE, CSAM, grooming, exploitation or any other serious child-safety concern, report it. You can use the in-app reporting tools or write to support@rumors.app.

5. How Rumors Responds

When we receive a child-safety report, Rumors may review the reported content and any account information relevant to it. Depending on what we find, we may restrict or remove content where applicable, restrict features, suspend the account or terminate it.

In the day-to-day operation of the Service, Rumors does not routinely review the content of private messages. Where a report raises a child-safety concern, automated moderation systems or authorized Rumors personnel may review the reported content in order to investigate the report and respond to it appropriately.

6. Suspected Underage Accounts

If we have reasonable grounds to suspect that an account belongs to, or is being used by, someone under 18, we may restrict, suspend or terminate that account.

7. Legal Cooperation and Reporting

Rumors will comply with the legal obligations that apply to it concerning child sexual abuse material and child sexual exploitation. Where those obligations require it, this includes cooperating with competent authorities or child-protection organizations and making reports to them.

8. Emergency Situations

Rumors is not an emergency service. Where a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement at once.
