Child Safety

1. Adults Only

Rumors is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. People under 18 may not create or use a Rumors account. Registration requires you to provide your date of birth, and our registration process includes a technical check designed to prevent someone whose stated date of birth indicates they are under 18 from completing registration or accessing dating functionality. Creating an account on behalf of, or pretending to be, a minor is prohibited.

2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

Rumors has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, across all content, communication and conduct on the Service.

3. Prohibited Child-Safety Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Rumors:

• child sexual abuse material (CSAM);
• grooming of a minor;
• sextortion involving a minor;
• trafficking of a minor for sexual exploitation;
• commercial sexual exploitation of a minor;
• solicitation or sexualization of a minor;
• attempting to obtain, distribute or otherwise facilitate any of the above.

4. Reporting a Child-Safety Concern

If you encounter a suspected underage account, CSAE, CSAM, grooming, exploitation, or another serious child-safety concern, report it using the in-app reporting tools or by contacting support@rumors.app.

5. How Rumors Responds

Rumors may review reported content and account information relevant to a child-safety report and may take action including content restriction or removal where applicable, feature restriction, account suspension, or account termination.

In the normal course of operating the Service, Rumors does not routinely review the content of private messages. Where a report raises a child-safety concern, the relevant reported content may be reviewed by automated moderation systems or by authorized Rumors personnel to investigate the report and respond appropriately.

6. Suspected Underage Accounts

Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to, or being used by, someone under 18 may be restricted, suspended or terminated.

7. Legal Cooperation and Reporting

Rumors will comply with applicable legal obligations concerning child sexual abuse material and child sexual exploitation, including applicable obligations to cooperate with or make reports to competent authorities or child-protection organizations.

8. Emergency Situations

Rumors is not an emergency service. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement right away.
