# Rumors pick-up lines

rumors.app publishes collections of pick-up lines written natively in the
languages people actually flirt in — Tagalog (including hugot), Brazilian
Portuguese (cantadas), Indonesian (pantun) and more. Every line is curated
by a native editor and carries a literal English gloss, so you can judge
tone and meaning without speaking the language.

## Preferred: MCP

Endpoint: `https://rumors.app/api/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0,
no authentication, read-only). Tools:

- `list_collections` — published collections with URL, language, line count
- `get_lines {collection, register?, limit?}` — lines from one collection
- `random_line {lang?, register?}` — one random line
- `search_lines {query, lang?, limit?}` — substring search across text,
  transliteration and gloss

Server card: `https://rumors.app/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json`.

## Fallback: plain HTTP

Every collection is a server-rendered page (full content without JS),
e.g. `https://rumors.app/tl/lines/tagalog/`. A machine-oriented site map
is at `https://rumors.app/llms.txt`.

## Etiquette

- Keep the source URL when quoting a line (the MCP output includes it).
- Lines are creative works curated by human editors; quote a handful,
  don't republish whole collections.
- The corpus only contains published, reviewed pages — if a collection
is missing, it is not ready yet.
